Instructor Policies | Due to FERPA laws which protect your own privacy, I will not discuss your grades over the phone or by email. If you want to discuss your grades, you must come to my office, in person, either during my scheduled office hours or by appointment.
Attendance Policy | Since timelines and presence are crucial to excellence in the performing arts, the LSCPA Drama Program has adopted the following attendance policy: Students can miss the equivalent days equal to the number of class meetings per week. As this is a M/W/F class, students are allowed up to three absences. After three, each additional absence will result in the lowering of the student’s overall course grade by one full letter grade. Please note: these allotted absences are to be used for things such as doctor’s appointments. I do not differentiate between excused and unexcused absences. Finally, two tardies will strike one of your absences.
Academic Honesty | Academic honesty is expected from all students, and dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated. Please consult the LSC-PA policies (Section IX, subsection A, in the Faculty Handbook) for consequences of academic dishonesty.

If you believe you have a disability requiring an accommodation, please contact the the Office for Disability Services Coordinator, Room 231, in the Madison Monroe Building. The phone number is (409) 984-6241.

Content Disclosure: Content in the arts can sometimes include works, situations, actions, and language that can be offensive to some students on the grounds of sexual explicitness, violence, or blasphemy. As these topics can be central to the texts about which we are learning, and our college is devoted to the principle of Academic Freedom, students who might feel unduly distressed or made uncomfortable by such expressions should speak privately with the instructor to determine the best course of action. Late Work: A written assignment turned in late will be penalized one complete letter grade for each class day it is late, meaning if you earned a “B” on an assignment, and it is one day late, you will receive a “C” on that assignment. I will not accept late work via Email. |
